Here we have an incredible ‘50s Esquire from the Fender Custom Shop! This one has been modded with a Seymour Duncan Brad Paisley Secret Agent neck pickup under the guard.

Factory specs include an ash body, rift sawn maple neck, 21 frets, dot inlays, 1.650” nut width and compound 7.25” to 9.5” radius. It has medium vintage fret wire, deluxe tuners and a traditional bridge with three adjustable brass saddles. The bridge pickup is a hand wound Blackguard single coil.

Beyond the upgraded hidden neck pickup, this guitar is in original condition and excellent shape. The wear on the exterior appears to be Fender aging, save for some light pick marks on the guard.

This guitar weighs in at 6lbs 11oz. The neck measures .925” to 1.000” at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a full depth ‘50s carve with the finish nicely worn off at the factory. The guitar is incredibly lightweight and extremely resonant, even with the added neck pickup. It’s a great sounding guitar and you don’t miss much in terms of tone or level with the pickup hiding under the black guard. We love the flash coat finish and the aging is tastefully accomplished.

Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the COA, floor traveler, hang tag, design guide, picks, Seymour Duncan box and other paperwork.
