Here we have a Fender Custom Shop Sweetwater Exclusive GT11 Stratocaster Heavy Relic! This one features a Fiesta Red over Black finish and is in excellent condition.
Specs include a roasted alder body, roasted AAA flame maple neck, dark AAA rosewood board, 11” radius, 6105 fret wire, 22 frets, and aged clay dot inlays. It has an RSD Strat bridge, mint guard, bone nut, deluxe tuners, and headstock truss rod access. The pickups are a hand wound set of ’64 Strat single coils with an RWRP middle pickup, a set that is custom underwound to Sweetwater’s specs. The finish color is faded & aged, with the nitro having been heavily aged, and the parts having been closet classic aged. The guitar also sports a 5-way switch as well as the 1/2 blend option that brings in the neck pickup in positions 1 & 2.
This guitar is in great shape. It’s seen a little playing time, but ultimately the wear and aging all appear to be done at the factory.
It weighs in at 7lbs 10oz. The neck measures .790 to .930 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a classic ‘60s slab board feel, and the neck finish is worn in just right. The guitar plays great and is packed with player friendly features. We dig the electronics especially, and appreciate how thoughtful the GT11 design is.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the COA, floor traveler, hang tag, tremolo arm, backplate, strap, design guide and other paperwork.
