Description
Here we have an excellent Fender Custom Shop Esquire Masterbuilt by Paul Waller! This Dakota Red relic features a AAA flame maple neck and a lightweight body.
This one a true custom build with a nice blend of 50s and 60s features. It is spec'd out as a '63 base model, but features a 51 Nocaster type neck with a 10/56 V profile. It has an ash body and the neck is AAA high grade maple that looks phenomenal throughout. It has a 9.5" radius, 6105 fret wire and gold hardware. The pickup is a hand wound Texas Special that sounds fantastic.
The guitar is currently set up with brass saddles but the original threaded steel relic saddles are included. It is in very good condition with some heavy pick marks on the top and guard. The frets look to be in great shape. Being a relic, most of the aging looks factory but there may be some light dings that are authentic player wear.
The guitar weighs in right at 7lbs. The neck measures .880 to .980 at the 1st and 12th. It has the familiar boat neck feel with a subtle V down low that rounds out as you go up the register. The guitar is loud and dynamic acoustically. It has an impressive sound and truly rips. We really couldn't ask for more in terms of the tone or playability.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the COA, floor traveler, bridge cover and original bridge saddles.
