Here we have a well-played Fender Custom Shop Custom Classic Jazz Bass! This one features a 3-Tone Sunburst finish and is in good condition overall.

Specs include an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, block inlays and a tortoise shell guard. It has Fender Schaller open gear tuners and a string through body bridge with adjustable smooth steel saddles. It’s loaded with a set of Fender Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups.

This factory active bass has had the control plate components upgraded to EMG. The rest of the instrument appears original. It’s been in the stable of a pro musician and shows plenty of topical wear from years on the road. There are a number of light dings across the body along with a notable dent on the back. There is also wear on the guard and other parts, plus topical scratches across the instrument. The back of the neck has a few light impressions in it, some of which are subtly noticeable while playing. The frets show a hint of wear down low though this doesn’t appear to affect playability.

The bass weighs 9lbs 1oz. The neck measures .790 to .900 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a classic slab board feel which is a medium C neck with a moderate shoulder and an oval apex. The bass plays great and sounds like you’d expect from a Custom Shop Jazz. We dig the control setup too with a master volume, pickup bend knob and bass/treble EQ options.

Ships in a padded gig bag. There is no COA or paperwork included, nor are the original electronic components.
