2014 Fender Custom Shop 1964 L-Series Limited Edition Strat

A fine example of a classic year for the Stratocaster in an equally classic Candy Apple finish, nicely Relic'd by the Custom Shop. This was a limited run of reissues for the series of guitars produced with the L prefix serial numbers in the 60's. Faithfully reproduced with the period correct 7.25" radius, fret size, clay dots, and a handwound set of '64 Strat pickups. Beautifully tinted lacquer over a maple neck with some light figuring. Has an accurate reproduction of the "D" shape neck profile the '64s are known for. Vintage style wiring with the tone controls for the neck and middle pickup, with no tone control for the bridge.

The guitar is in really excellent condition with only a bit of fret wear in the cowboy chord neighborhood. The case has three spots that are stained on the lid and some subtle discoloration on the top along the seam where the handle is mounted to the case.
