Description
Here we have an excellent Fender Custom Shop '63 Telecaster Journeyman Relic with a mahogany body! This guitar is finished in Crimson Transparent and sounds great.
Other specs include a maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 9.5" radius and 6150 medium jumbo fret wire. It has '63 Tele pickups and has been reworked for modern style wiring. The lacquer finish is nicely checked and the entire instrument has been subtly aged at the factory.
This one weighs in at 7lbs 9oz. The neck measures .820 to .890 at the 1st and 12th. It has a classic oval C neck, just like you'd expect to find in the early 60s. This is one of our favorite Teles in terms of overall tone and playability. It has a punchiness and twang not dissimilar to ash, but with a colorful mid-range present. It resounds from deep within the body and plays effortlessly up and down the neck. Overall an excellent example that pays tribute to some rare vintage iterations.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the COA, floor traveler, picks, hang tag and other paperwork.
