Description
Here is an awesome ’62 Jazz Bass Stack Knob from the Fender Custom Shop! This relic features an aged black finish.
Specs include an alder body, quartersawn maple neck and slab rosewood board. It has vintage clay dot inlays, a 9.5” radius, and medium jumbo 6150 fret wire. It’s loaded with a set of handwound vintage J-Bass pickups. The controls are the iconic concentric stacked knobs which we rarely see on Custom Shop builds.
This bass is in excellent condition. It’s obviously a relic, but this one does not appear to have been played much at all. The wear to the finish and hardware appears to be factory work.
It weighs in at 9lbs 9oz. The neck measures .790 to .990 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a classic slab neck feel down low with a fuller, rounded C profile higher up the register like you tend to find in 1962. It’s a fantastic player in every way.
Includes the original hardshell case, COA, floor traveler, hang tag, leather strap, picks, design guide and other paperwork.
