Description
Here is a cool Partscaster built from a Fender Custom Shop '69 body and Custom Shop '60 Slab Board neck. This relic Strat is in excellent condition.
It's an alder body guitar with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard. It has a 9.5" radius and narrow tall fret wire. It's loaded with a set of Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster pickups and has a 5-way switch. It has a master volume, the middle tone controls the neck/middle pickups, and the bottom tone knob controls the bridge. The finish is factory-worn off the back of the neck, and the body cavity lists a WLS undercoat. The parts, aging, and finish all appear to be factory Fender Custom Shop work, just parted together from a couple of instruments.
The guitar weighs 7lbs 10oz. The neck measures .780 to .980 at the 1st and 12th. It has a classic 1960 medium C neck profile. The guitar has excellent resonance and clarity. There is a touch of air or natural reverb around the note acoustically, plus it plays quite well too!
Ships in a Fender Custom Shop case and includes the tremolo arm and the box for the '69 pickups.
