Here we have a wonderful Fender Classic Series ‘50s Precision Bass! This one features a factory nitrocellulose lacquer finish and is in excellent condition.

Specs include an alder body, maple neck, maple fingerboard, black dot inlays and a gold anodized aluminum guard. It has factory American Vintage reverse open gear tuners, and an American Vintage 4-saddle bridge. The pickup is a vintage-style split single coil. The scale length is 34”, the nut width is 1 3/4” and the radius is 7.25”.

This bass has been kept in the case since purchased new it appears, and still has the protective plastic on the tuner keys. There are some faint topical scratches on the neck plate and body from polishing or handling, noticeable when inspected closely. Remember, black shows everything, but ultimately you can tell this one hasn’t been played much, if at all.

It weighs in at 7lbs 15oz. The neck measures .820 to .960 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has an oval C neck profile with medium depth. It’s a good weight and the bass sets up nicely with flat wound strings. It’s such a cool spec, and we love the black body against the tinted lacquer neck. We dig that Fender bothered to run these in nitro, and of course they nailed the 50s vibe completely!

Ships in the original tweed hardshell case, also in excellent condition. Includes the hang tag and other paperwork.
