Here we have a very nice 1998 Fender American Vintage 62 Stratocaster Reissue! This one sports a sherwood green metallic finish and is in excellent condition.
Specs include an Alder body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard. It has deluxe tuners, a mint guard and a vintage style tremolo. It has the original black bottom pickups with a 5-way switch installed.
This one is in excellent shape for its age. There are a couple of medium sized but light dings on the top as well as a minor scuff on the end near the strap button. There are a couple small nicks around the headstock edge and the saddles show some light tarnish. There are other light signs of playing and handling but mostly this one looks to have spent a lot of time in the case.
It weighs 7lbs 14oz. The neck measures .840 to .970 at the 1st and 12th. It has a classic '62 feel with a slimmer C down low and a bit fuller shoulder up high with a touch more depth. The guitar has good resonance and nice depth acoustically with a notable round bass response, but still good top end clarity. It plays evenly up and down the neck and bends easily. It's a fine example overall for this era.
Ships in a brown and gold Fender G&G case that appears to be a little newer than the instrument. Includes a strap, the tremolo arm, and the 3-way switch.
