Here we have a special build that features a Fender American Vintage ’62 body and an Elliot Mechanic neck! It has a factory black over sunburst finish and is loaded with Lindy Fralin pickups.

Specs include an alder body, maple neck, 7.25” radius, 1.65” nut width, 25.5” scale length, and 6105 fret wire. It has Deluxe tuners, a vintage tremolo with “Fender Fender” saddles, and a 5-way selector switch. The pickups are Fralin Real 54s with an RWRP middle pickup.

The body is a mid 80s ’62 AVRI with the original neck plate, pots, tremolo and guard. The neck is a 1990s Elliot Mechanic that has “6105” and “10-57” written on the butt end. It’s a perfectly carved ’57 style V neck that has an authentic feel. Elliot Mechanic was known for making quality reproduction necks, something that was hard to come by before the days of mass-produced Custom Shop reissues.

The guitar has a wonderful patina about it, showing years of play. The back has buckle wear and an area of sunburst exposed beneath the black finish. There are small dings and scratches across the body too. The neck is pretty clean though with only a few signs of use.

The guitar weighs in at 7lbs 8oz. The neck measures .860 to .920 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a V shaped profile down low, while it softens and rounds subtly as you move up the register. It has a full vintage depth without being overly large. The guitar is twangy and glassy with good body resonance. This is a really great piece, with a classic example of modern Boutique guitar gear… IYKYK.

Ships in a modern Fender tweed hardshell case. There is no tremolo arm included.
