Here we have an American Fender Lone Star Stratocaster! This 1996 model is from the 50th Anniversary of Fender and sports a candy apple red finish.

This guitar is akin to the American Standard with a maple neck, 2 point tremolo bridge, and Fender deluxe tuners. It has an HSS setup however with a Duncan humbucker at the bridge. It also features the 50th Anniversary decal on the back of the headstock.

The guitar is in good overall condition with some player wear. Being nearly 30 years old, we'd expect to see the light dings and surface scratches this one exhibits. The back of the neck has a notable ding behind the 10th fret, and there are some finish chips where the neck blends into the headstock. There is some lacquer chipping at the fret ends of the board, we assume from the frets popping due to humidity over the years. The body has quite a few light surface scratches but no notable dents. The hardware and plastic show light age and wear.

This one weighs 8lbs 5oz. The neck measures .810 to .880 at the 1st and 12th. It has a modern C shaped profile that feels a touch slimmer than later 2000s models might be. The guitar has great resonance and sustain. It has good chime and twang, and sounds as expected for a classic Fender USA guitar from this era.

Ships in a Fender black tolex hardshell case. It includes the tremolo arm, original backplate, strap locks, and warranty registration card.
