Here we have an extremely well preserved 1998 Collectors Edition Telecaster! This vintage inspired build has been case-kept since purchased new and still has the protective plastic on the guard.
Specs include an ash body, one piece maple neck, single ply guard and gold hardware. It has abalone dot inlays with a "1998" 12th fret inlay. The nut is bone and the logo is placed between the nut and string tree, similar to an early 50s Tele. It has a vintage style bridge with smooth saddles, deluxe tuners, dome knobs and a 3-way switch. The pickups are Fender Vintage-Style Tele single coils.
This guitar is a true case queen. The protective film on the guard has bubbled slightly, but amazingly has never been removed. The gold hardware shows some light oxidation. There are a few small scuffs and marks on the body when examined closely, as well as a small faint ding on the edge of the lower bout. Ultimately though this is about as preserved as you'll find!
The guitar weighs 7lbs 12oz. The neck measures .860 to .940 at the 1st and 12th. It has a soft V profile with a 1.6875" nut width. The guitar feels great, well-balanced and easy to navigate. It has a warm punch off of the ash body with a glassy top end. A true collectible that has been well maintained all of these years!
Includes the original brown case that still has the blue plastic on the latches. Also included are the original leather strap and unopened accessories kit.
