Description
The Fairfield Circuitry Placeholder is an analog reverb pedal built around bucket brigade devices (BBDs). Rather than using a digital chip to generate reverb, it implements a Householder reverb algorithm entirely in analog hardware — using BBDs, mixers, VCAs, and filters to achieve the echo density and diffusion typically associated with algorithmic reverb.
The Householder topology allows for quick echo density buildup using only three delay lines, which keeps the circuit efficient while producing a rich, textured reverb character. The result sits somewhere between the warmth of analog delay-based reverb and the spatial complexity of digital algorithms — without being either.
