Description
The Fairfield Circuitry Long Life is a state-variable parametric EQ pedal built around a 2nd-order (-12dB/octave) filter core. It combines tilt and notch/boost equalization into a single, wide-ranging one-band parametric that covers a lot of ground — from subtle tone shaping to more aggressive filtering and self-oscillation.
The Q control is fully variable and goes into self-oscillation, and CV inputs for both resonance and frequency make it compatible with modular and semi-modular setups. V/octave scaling means it can function as a voltage-controlled filter (VCF) or even a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) in a synthesizer context. An expression pedal input controls the center frequency, making wah-style sweeps straightforward.
