The Fairfield Circuitry Hors d'Oeuvre? is an active feedback loop pedal. It lets you route any combination of external effects into a bipolar feedback path, creating self-oscillating, evolving textures that aren't achievable through standard signal chain routing.
The pedal also outputs the difference signal between the input and the return — the audio that exists between what goes in and what comes back — opening up additional sound design possibilities depending on what's in the loop.
It's a utility tool aimed at experimental and ambient players who want to push effects beyond their intended use. The results depend entirely on what you put in the loop and how you set the feedback level, which makes it an open-ended instrument in its own right.
