Description
The Fairfield Circuitry Board Member is a CV/expression-to-voltage-sag converter. It takes bipolar CV signals — from LFOs, sequencers, envelopes, or an expression pedal — and uses them to control voltage sag on pedals that don't have built-in CV capabilities.
Voltage sag works by deliberately starving a pedal's power supply, which causes the circuit to behave differently — producing compression, fuzz, pitch instability, and other artifacts depending on the pedal. The Board Member gives you dynamic, modulatable control over that effect rather than a fixed, static sag setting.
It pairs particularly well with modular and semi-modular setups, and works best with simple analog circuits — overdrives, vintage effects, and basic fuzz pedals tend to respond most interestingly. Microcontroller-based pedals are not compatible.
