Description
The Fairfield Circuitry 20% More is a slew-limiting distortion pedal built around a sq/tri oscillator circuit. A slew limiter controls how quickly an incoming voltage can change, capping it at a fixed rate — and because time and frequency are linked, this creates a steep, characterful low-pass filter effect.
When pushed into resonance, those fixed slopes become triangle wave oscillations, which is where the pedal's name comes from — that resonant behavior adds a distinct tonal quality to the distortion. Push the input hard enough and the oscillation gets overwhelmed, producing pseudo-wavefolding and synthetic distortion artifacts that sit somewhere between filter and fuzz.
