Description
Here we have a very cool ESP Mirage Deluxe from the late '80s. This guitar is in excellent condition and quite fun to play.
This one has the New York, NY neck plate with NY written in the neck pocket, a designation from the 48th Street USA shop. The neck is ink-stamped Made In Japan. The guitar has a creamy white finish and sports the original licensed ESP locking tremolo.
It is in excellent shape for its age without any real dents or damage. Clearly the guitar has been played, the hardware shows light age, and the back of the neck is smoothly worn. The neck binding shows wear through the finish in areas and the edges of the body are whiter in hue and less creamy than the flat surfaces. There are some fine scratches and marks on the guitar too, but again no real damage.
It weighs in at 7lbs 9oz. The neck measures .800 to .850 at the 1st and 12th. It has a 25.5" scale and a 1 11/16" nut. The neck is a slim modern C that feels fairly consistent up the register. The guitar plays great, it's super slinky and effortless to get around on. It's resonant with nice sustain as well. You really couldn't ask for more player-wise.
Ships in a modern ESP form fitting case and includes the original tremolo arm. There is no back plate included.
