Description
Here we have a very nice 2017 James Valentine BFR! This limited run model sports an Ivory White finish and is in excellent condition.
Specs include an ash body, roasted flame maple neck, white neck binding, white pickup rings and a gold anodized pickguard. It has Schaller tuners, a Music Man hardtail bridge, bent steel saddles and gold hardware. It features his custom-wound staggered pole single coil bridge pickup and humbucker neck pickup, along with an active preamp. The volume knob is push/push for signal boost, while the tone knob is push/push to pickup split.
The guitar is in great shape. The gold hardware shows a little bit of oxidation, and there is a spot of plating wear on the edge of the bridge. There are some faint signs of use and play topically on the finish, but no real dents or damage. This one looks to have spent most of its time in the case.
The guitar weighs 7lbs 7oz. The neck measures .830 to .920 at the 1st and 12th. It has a full oval C profile and that feels fast with the oil and wax finish. The guitar is extremely lively and resonant acoustically. It has a slinky feel, it's easy to bend on, and the guitar sustains quite well. A really nice example of what the BFR guitars are all about.
It is number 6 of 92 produced and includes a signed backplate. Ships in the original hardshell case along with the COA.
