Here we have an awesome Epiphone 1958 Korina Explorer! This 2023 model is from the Inspired by Gibson series built in partnership with the Custom Shop.
Specs include a korina body, korina neck, and laurel fingerboard. It has a long neck tenon just like the originals. The electronics include a set of Burstbuckers with CTS pots and Mallory caps.
This guitar is in excellent condition. It shows light pick marks on the guard but the protective plastic film is still present. There is a little oxidation on the gold metal parts and maybe a few faint signs of handling when inspected closely. However this one mostly looks factory fresh.
The guitar weighs in at just 6lbs 9oz. The neck measures .920 to 1.040 at the 1st and 12th. It's a notably lightweight guitar that is well balanced. The neck profile is a full vintage C carve without too much shoulder that is comfortable to play. The guitar is loud, lively and resonant. It has that warm and woody yet clear and articulate tone Korina is known for.
Overall a fantastic example and a model that is loaded with features at the price point. Includes the original hardshell case which has a few scuffs on the outside. Also includes the original hang tag, paperwork, and stickers.
