Here we have a Devon J5 Classic 5-string bass guitar! This one is in very good condition overall.
Specs include a spalted maple top, alder body, maple neck, rosewood board, bone nut, zero fret, Hipshot tuners, black abalone guard, and 19mm Hipshot bridge. It has a 35” scale length and a 1 3/4” nut width. The pickups are Nordstrand including a Bigman at the bridge and a split P. The controls appear to be a stacked master volume / pickup blend knob, stacked mid-sweep, 3-band EQ, and coil tap for the Bigman. The electronics are an 18v system with a square preamp that is unbranded.
This one is in very good condition. It shows light signs of use, as well as a handful of faint dings on the back. Mostly it looks quite clean though.
It weighs in at 10lbs 4oz. The neck measures .840 to .930 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a D shaped neck with a rounded shoulder and oval apex. The fingerboard edges are nicely rounded giving it a comfortable feel. The bass plays easily up and down the neck. We love the pickup configuration and there are plenty of tonal possibilities with the control layout.
