Here we have a brand new Dean USA ML Mahogany with Floyd Rose tremolo! This Custom Shop build features gold hardware and a Trans Brazilia finish.
Specs include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, ebony board, abalone dot inlays, Grover tuners, and a top mount bridge. It has a 24 5/8” scale length, 12” radius, and 1 11/16” nut width. The pickups are a set of Dean USA DMT humbuckers including a Nostalgia at the neck and a Baker Act at the bridge.
This one weighs 9lb 14oz. The neck measures .850 to .930 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has the classic Dean soft V neck profile which gives us vintage vibes. The guitar is slinky and resonant, playing easily up and down the register. We love the top mounted Floyd, plus the gold hardware really completes the look!
Ships in a Dean USA hardshell case and includes the tremolo arm, allen keys and paperwork. Tone Wolf is an Authorized Dean Guitars Dealer.
Body & Construction
This Dean USA Custom Shop ML is built entirely from mahogany — mahogany body, mahogany set neck — giving it a warm, resonant foundation with natural sustain and a thick, full low-mid character. The ML body shape is one of the most iconic in hard rock and metal, and the Trans Brazilia finish showcases the wood's natural grain with a rich, amber-brown transparency that's unique to each instrument.
Neck & Fingerboard
The mahogany neck has a V profile with a 1 11/16" nut width and a 24 5/8" scale length, giving it a comfortable, familiar feel for players who prefer a slightly slinkier feel. The ebony fingerboard has a 12" radius, 22 nickel jumbo frets, and abalone dot inlays — fast, smooth, and built for aggressive playing.
Pickups & Electronics
It's loaded with a pair of Dean USA DMT humbuckers — a Nostalgia in the neck and a Baker Act in the bridge — voiced specifically for the USA Custom Shop line. The controls are straightforward: volume/volume/tone with a 3-way toggle switch. No unnecessary complexity, just direct access to the pickups' full tonal range.
Hardware
The top-mount Floyd Rose locking tremolo is the centerpiece of the hardware package, offering precise pitch control and rock-solid tuning stability under heavy use. Gold hardware throughout — including the Floyd Rose, Grover 18:1 tuners, and black speed knobs — gives the instrument a premium, high-contrast look against the Trans Brazilia finish.
