Here is a beautiful 2015 D'Angelico EXL-1 Excel in natural! This guitar is in very good condition and includes an original gig bag.
The Excel is an iconic mid-century Jazz guitar with a 17" wide body, cutaway, and floating neck pickup. This one features a laminate spruce top, along with laminate flame maple back & sides. The neck is 3 pieces with a rosewood board. It has a 25.5" scale with a 1 11/16" nut.
The guitar weighs 7lbs 1oz. The neck measures .835 to .900 at the 1st and 9th frets. It has a nice modern C profile to it. The guitar has been played a bit and shows pick marks over the guard and some light wear to the gold plated parts. It appears a bone nut was installed and the frets show some light flat spots, mainly under the B string. Notes ring out clear and true however. The guitar has a warm and mellow mid range with a quick attack and nice decay. It plays well up and down the neck.
