Here we have a very nice D’Angelico Excel DC semi-hollow electric guitar! This one is in good condition overall.
Specs include a figured maple body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, block inlays and Grover Imperial tuners. It has a stop tailpiece, Tune-o-matic bridge, dual F holes. It sports two humbucker pickups with volume and tone controls for each, a 3-way toggle switch and ebony knobs.
The guitar is in good condition with light topical player wear such as pick marks and faint scratches. There are not any dents or major issues, but light signs of use and handling over the instrument. The intonation screws for the Low E and A are fairly stripped, and while the guitar sets up ok, the saddles are not very adjustable. The nut is a replacement Tusq nut, leaving a gap between the edge of the nut and the truss rod cover. The gold hardware shows light wear and oxidation. The pickguard is no longer with the instrument.
This one weighs 8lbs 7oz. The neck measures .840 to .930 at the 1st and 12th. It has a D shaped neck that isn’t too large, one that almost flattens out at the apex. The guitar is well-built and well-designed. It plays quite nicely up and down the register with excellent resonance and clarity.
