Collings 290 S 2012 - TV Yellow

Here we have a 2012 Collings 290 S electric guitar! This one sports a TV Yellow finish and is in good condition overall.

Specs include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays and single ply black pickguard. It has Collings branded Gotoh tuners with grained ivoroid buttons, an ebony headstock veneer, MOP logo and a wrap around bridge with adjustable saddles. It has a 24 7/8” scale length with a 12” radius and 1 11/16” nut width.

The finish is in good shape with a couple of tiny dings on the back, light surface marks and faint scratches around the controls. The guard shows pick wear across most of its surface. There is a small lacquer chip on the face of the headstock near the high E tuner. There are no major dents. This one was clearly played, but also well cared for.

This one weighs 7lbs 12oz. The neck measures .860 to 1.000 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a D shaped neck with medium depth, not too much shoulder and an almost flat apex. The guitar is lively and resonant with excellent sustain. It plays and bends easily too. A great modern take on a classic solid body design with a single hot P90.

Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the warranty card.
