Here is a beautiful AC Guitars Krell 4-String Bass Guitar! This one is a recent build that is in excellent condition overall.
The body features a Turkish walnut top and back with a mahogany center block and black accents. The neck is 5-piece wenge/bubinga with a wenge fingerboard and luminlay side dots. It has a 34” scale length with a 1 11/16” nut width. It’s loaded with AC Guitars RFB pickups with coil switching, and it has an East Uni-Pre 4K preamp.
This one shows a few faint topical marks from playing and handling. There is no real wear though and no damage. The protective plastic film is still on the rear control plate.
The bass weighs 9lbs 13oz. The neck measures .860 to .890 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has an asymmetrical profile that feels like a D with a nice shoulder on the bass side, but caves down to a slimmer rounded C towards the treble side. We love the wood combinations on this one, and the satin lacquer finish feels amazing. It’s a great looking and great playing instrument that is built extremely well.
