JAM Pedals has released the Wahcko mk.2, a revised version of the company’s long-running Wahcko wah pedal. The original model has been part of the JAM lineup since 2008, known for its responsive feel and broad, controllable sweep. The mk.2 keeps the core design intact while adding more ways to adjust the pedal for different instruments and playing styles.

The circuit centers on a custom JAM inductor inspired by the vintage TDK inductors found in 1960s Cry Baby and Vox wah circuits. A six-position SWEEP control provides six distinct frequency ranges, allowing players to tune the pedal’s response around a particular guitar, bass, amplifier, or part.
New to the mk.2 is an internal Q trimmer, which adjusts the character and intensity of the wah effect. The internal input-gain trimmer from the original Wahcko remains, while internal DIP switches now let players select dedicated guitar or bass operation. Battery operation also returns with this version.
Tone Wolf is an authorized JAM Pedals retailer, and the new Wahcko mk.2 is available now. It’s a practical update to an established wah design, expanding its range without changing the hands-on response that defined the original.
