Product Description
Yamaha CX5M with YK-10 keyboard and RF-02 screen adapter
This is a somewhat unique Yamaha unit from the 80s. A Music Computer with a built in FM Synthesizer module that is somewhat similar to the DX7. Cartridges for sequencing, editing the internal patches, and editing patches in the DX-7 were offered. The audio is output through stereo RCA cables and there is Midi in/out, although the unit cannot receive Midi note data. The Midi ports were used to import, edit, and export the DX7 patches from what I can tell. RF module is included, which is a coaxial output for a screen. Apparent this synth was responsible for quite a few video game soundtracks in the 80s and early 90s.
The unit is in overall good condition, with a bit of wear and some dust & debris in the keyboard as well as some other areas. The original boxes for the units are included, although have that perma-moist texture that vintage boxes get over time. Printed version of the manual included as well.
